Their platform has helped several organizations find candidates that are crushing it. Traditionally they would have been screened out.

Cultivate a Profound Sense of The Value of Human Dignity
Last week I attended the SENT Summit (it was amazing). Throughout the week, we heard from top business leaders, philanthropists, investors, and even a famous actor.
In addition, we were able to learn from the other participants (primarily other Catholic business owners).
Throughout all of this, there is one key theme I noticed.
If we want to share the joy of God’s love with the world, the single most important thing we can do is cultivate a profound sense of the dignity that each person deserves.
Why?
Because it genuinely affects people when they are ‘seen’ in that way. When they are treated with total respect regardless of who they are, what their net worth is, or how famous they are — it cuts through the ‘stuff’ of life right to their heart.
This is essentially true charity.
How can we do this?
Here are two practices that you can implement to get the ball rolling with this habit.
Notice everyone.
When you encounter a janitor, service worker, or customer service agent, recognize their humanity. Put yourself in their shoes. Think about how they might be feeling. Make a joke. Compliment their work. At least give them a nice smile. This costs nothing but makes a big impact.
Be fully present with others.
Put your phone aside. Even turn it on silent. Look at people in their eyes. Be genuinely curious about their work and interests. In an age of distractions and ladder climbing, this is more powerful than ever.
When you do this with your employees, it will help you build a stronger relationship with them. You’ll know where they want to go in their life. And as a result, you’ll also have higher retention (do not do this for this reason — it’s only noble if it’s the by-product).
That’s it!
I honestly sat here thinking about what else I could write. But it’s that simple.
When you make a habit of these two actions, you will impact many lives. Even if you never mention your faith, it will still have an impact. Sure, one day it may lead to a conversation about the faith. The important part of that is, it will happen when they are ready to have that conversation.
The more earthly success and reverence that you have, the more important it is for you to take these two habits seriously. Think about how impactful it is when the CEO of a multi-billion-dollar corporation stops employees in the hall to ask them how they are doing. It’s an even greater impact. And, it helps us as executives stay humble.
Performing these acts helps us keep our own humanity and dignity at the forefront. We are fragile. There is no difference between us and the poorest person in the world. This practice ought to help you keep that in mind.
God Bless & Happy Building

Heavenly Hustlers
Looking to meet other ambitious Catholic business owners? You’re in the right place.
Meet today’s Heavenly Hustlers. (This was a little too easy today because of how many people I met last week)
Anthony and Marcellino D’Ambrosio are a dynamic twin duo who are really setting the tone of marketing for Catholic organizations. No more boring marketing from Catholic companies. Together, they run Sherwood Fellows. And notably, Anthony has led the development and now release of an incredible film — Triumph of the Heart. It tells the story of St. Maximilian Kolbe.
Several members of the CF Guild were able to attend the world premiere and said it was incredible and deeply moving. I also just saw it last night and can say I cried a lot. SOOO well done. (Find a showing near you)
I wanted to highlight these two for pure tenacity. Pursuing a project like this film is highly difficult. Many would say it was doomed to fail. But they did it anyway and are seeing great success so far.
Their marketing firm is really changing the game for Catholic orgs that are looking to advertise. We no longer have to be boring. We are working on great things, so let’s get great at talking about them.
If you are looking for marketing/branding support, I’d highly recommend checking them out. Also, check out the episode we did with Marcellino a while back.Greg Baustert is building Advocate Technologies (a supplier-neutral IT tech brokerage). He also has a podcast called Vocation of the Business Leader — (Really enjoyed my conversations with you Greg)
Jeremy Medrano is the Founder of Archangel Security — providing personalized cybersecurity solutions for high-income individuals.
Adam Jace is building Ariata. They are on a mission to help individuals have data autonomy by taking control of their data. He was also the winner of the SENT Angels Pitch competition during the Summit. From seeing him pitch, I can say he is one to watch.
Mallory Root runs a coffee shop in Grand Rapids, MI called Roots Brew Shop.
Kate Avery and Mallory are also co-founders of is the other founder of a co-working space called The Cottage on Turner. Be sure to check out these spots if you’re in Grand Rapids (or send this to your friends who live there).
