The Business Case For Praying the Rosary Daily
A Short Post for Our Lady of The Rosary
Today will be super short as I’m still wrapping up my NYC trip (that’s why there has not been any new content for ~3 weeks).
Today is the feast of Our Lady of The Rosary — an amazing feast.
First of all, I encourage you to say the full rosary (all 15 decades) in honor of Her today.
The Business Case
However, aside from that encouragement, I also want to tell you about the business case to say the Rosary on a regular basis (if you don’t already). That reason is, Signal Graces.
If you are like me, you grew up praying the rosary daily with your family. Having it there my whole life, I kind of took the it for granted. I assumed every Catholic prayed the Rosary every day. I also didn’t know about the promises of the rosary.
Yes! There are 15 promises associated with the Rosary. The first of those being the special granting of Signal Graces. These are like little tugs on your brain or heart, that make you think you should do something. Kind of like a sign.
No, this is not superstition. God speaks to us through our lives. You can see many examples of it in the old testament. Why would He stop all of a sudden? The answer is He hasn’t — we just stopped looking.
Our Lady also helps grant us these little signals if we are loyal to the Rosary.
Here is why it matters to you as a business person.
In business, each decision can have major repercussions. Even if you run a small business, small decisions can lead to your extinction as an entity. On a large scale, it could cost millions or even billions.
If you are faithful to your daily Rosary, you can be assured that Our Lady will be looking out for you. She’ll be giving those little tips and pointers every day — all year. How to deal with a challenging supplier? How to approach the employee that was causing some drama. Knowing when to take the day off to be with your family.
All of these are areas where Our Lady might speak to you gently.
A friend of mine has a story about being in what seemed like a nice neighborhood of a NYC suburb. He was about to go down a quieter street, but something told him not to. He was praying his Rosary at the time. He found out the next day via the cab driver, that some of these side streets are really dangerous.
This is an extreme example, but know that She does this for all who make the time to walk through the garden of Roses each day.
So, think twice next time you think I don’t have time to say my rosary. The ROI on your daily Rosary is much higher than you will ever be able to understand.
