Competition: CF Guild Discussion Recording

Recording + Discussion Notes from our October 14th CF Guild Meeting (Paid Members Only)

During last week’s CF Guild topic call, we chatted about the complex landscape of competition and rivalry in business, seeking to reconcile ambition with values and Catholic teaching. This post is for any paid members who couldn’t attend.

One-Liner Takeaway

For those who aren’t paid members yet, here’s the quick one-liner takeaway.

With an abundance mindset, there’s plenty of pie to go around for everyone. And we can’t be all things to all people. I’ve found that I’ve been able to engender a lot of trust and goodwill by knowing when I’m not a good fit and referring a competitor to to be a a better solution.”

As Catholic entrepreneurs, we’re learning to live from abundance, trusting that there’s more than enough to go around. In the same way God offers abundant grace, we need to learn to live in that abundance mindset.

By leading with integrity, we naturally build trust and lift each other higher. It’s not about competition, it’s about coopetition (growing together, even alongside those in the same space). Because when our faith leads, we are no longer building to fulfill our own ego — we are submitting fully to God and allowing Him to use us as instruments in His work.

Alright, the rest of this session is exclusively for CF Guild members. If you’d like to join future calls, consider upgrading to a paid membership today.
